Before first start after turbo replacement: remove the oil feed line, pour 30–50 ml of clean engine oil directly into the oil inlet port, rotate the shaft by hand to distribute oil to bearings, reconnect the feed line, and crank the engine without starting (disable ignition) for 10–15 seconds to build oil pressure. Then start normally.
After installing a new turbo, allow the engine to idle for at least 5 minutes before shutdown on first use. Going forward, always idle for 3–5 minutes before shutdown after any high-load operation. This allows turbo bearings to cool below oil carbonisation temperature before oil circulation stops.
