Installation & Application Notes

Never run an engine without a filter — even briefly causes abrasive damage. Pre-fill fuel filters with clean fuel before fitting to reduce prime time. Replace O-rings on filter housings every second service. Record change dates on filter housing.

Failure Symptoms

A clogged filter may initially present as sluggish hydraulic system operation or a slight increase in fluid temperature. If left unaddressed, the reduced flow can lead to overheating and premature wear of hydraulic components. Continued operation with a severely restricted filter risks significant damage to the hydraulic pump and actuators.

Installation Tip

Ensure the filter housing is thoroughly cleaned before installing the new cartridge to prevent any residual debris from contaminating the system. Do not overtighten the housing cap, as this can damage the seal or threads.

Inspect the fluid for signs of contamination and check the condition of the hydraulic pump seals when replacing this filter.
