Failure Symptoms

The most common symptom of a failing stop solenoid is the engine continuing to run after the ignition key is turned off. Conversely, a faulty solenoid might prevent the engine from receiving fuel, making it difficult or impossible to start. If the solenoid fails internally, it could also cause intermittent stalling.

Installation Tip

Ensure the electrical connector is clean and securely attached to the new solenoid to guarantee proper signal transmission. Avoid applying excessive force when tightening the solenoid into its fuel system housing, as this can damage the threads.
