Failure Symptoms

A failing oil pump may initially present as intermittent oil pressure warnings or slightly lower than normal oil pressure readings. Installation Tip

Ensure the oil pickup tube is properly seated and sealed to prevent air from being drawn into the pump. Do not overtighten the mounting bolts, as this can distort the pump housing and affect its performance.

Service Note

When replacing the oil pump, it is advisable to also inspect the oil pan, pickup screen, and engine oil cooler for any signs of blockage or damage.
