Failure Symptoms

The most common symptom of a failing fuel shutoff solenoid is the inability to shut down the engine by turning off the ignition key. Alternatively, a malfunctioning valve may prevent fuel from reaching the engine, causing it to not start or to stall unexpectedly. If the valve fails to open, the engine will not receive fuel and will not run.
