569-6762-sa160175 Air Filter — Cat Excavator 304Cr

This air filter is a critical component of your CAT Excavator's engine intake system, ensuring only clean air reaches the combustion chambers. It is manufactured to meet stringent OEM standards, providing superior filtration compared to a worn or damaged filter that allows contaminants to enter the engine. Failure often manifests as a noticeable loss of engine power, increased exhaust smoke, and potentially rough idling.

Installation & Application Notes

Never run an engine without a filter — even briefly causes abrasive damage. Pre-fill fuel filters with clean fuel before fitting to reduce prime time. Replace O-rings on filter housings every second service. Record change dates on filter housing.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The first sign of a failing air filter is a gradual decrease in engine power and responsiveness. If ignored, the engine will struggle to breathe, leading to increased fuel consumption and potential internal wear from ingested dust. Ultimately, severe restriction can cause engine overheating and damage to critical internal components.

Installation Tip

Before installing the new filter, thoroughly clean the air filter housing to prevent any debris from being drawn into the engine. Ensure the filter is seated correctly and the housing seals are intact to prevent air bypass.

Service Note

Inspect the air intake hoses and clamps for any signs of cracking or leaks when replacing the air filter.
