Installation & Application Notes

Never run an engine without a filter — even briefly causes abrasive damage. Pre-fill fuel filters with clean fuel before fitting to reduce prime time. Replace O-rings on filter housings every second service. Record change dates on filter housing.

Failure Symptoms

Installation Tip

Before installing the new filter, carefully clean the air cleaner housing and ensure the sealing surfaces are free of any dirt or debris. Ensure the new element is correctly seated and the clamps or latches are secured properly to prevent air leaks.

Service Note

Inspect the turbocharger compressor wheel and intake manifold for any signs of oil or carbon buildup when replacing the air filter element.
