Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The first sign of a failing water pump is often a coolant leak from the weep hole or a noticeable drop in coolant level. If ignored, the pump can seize or develop a significant leak, leading to engine overheating and potential damage to internal engine components. Prolonged overheating can cause severe engine damage, including warped cylinder heads or blown head gaskets.

Installation Tip

Clean the engine block mounting surface meticulously to ensure a perfect seal with the new gasket. Do not reuse the old gasket or sealant, and ensure the drive belt is properly tensioned after installation.

Service Note

It is highly recommended to replace the thermostat and inspect all coolant hoses and the radiator when installing a new water pump.
