4d-4064 Bearing — Cat 140H 160H

This is a precision-engineered bearing that supports rotating components within the engine or drivetrain, reducing friction and wear. It is manufactured to exact tolerances, providing superior load-bearing capacity and longevity over a worn or failed bearing. Operators may notice increased noise, vibration, or a complete loss of function in the affected component when a bearing fails.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

A failing bearing may initially produce a faint grinding or humming noise that increases with speed. As wear progresses, the noise will become louder, and vibration may be felt in the component. If left unaddressed, the bearing can seize, potentially damaging the shaft and housing and immobilizing the equipment.

Installation Tip

Ensure the bearing seat in the housing and on the shaft are perfectly clean and free from burrs before installation. Avoid using excessive force or hammering to seat the bearing, which can damage its internal components.

Service Note

Inspect the associated shaft and housing for any signs of scoring or wear when replacing this bearing.
