2w-5537 Radiator Core — Cat 3306

This radiator core is the primary heat exchanger for the engine's cooling system, dissipating heat absorbed from the coolant into the surrounding air. Constructed from durable materials designed to withstand high temperatures and pressures, it offers superior longevity compared to a corroded or leaking core. Operators may notice the engine temperature gauge climbing into the red zone, steam escaping from the engine bay, or a persistent sweet smell of coolant when this radiator core begins to fail.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The first indication of a failing radiator core is often a rising engine temperature gauge or visible coolant leaks around the core. If left unaddressed, the engine will overheat, leading to severe damage to internal components like the cylinder head and block. Continued operation without adequate cooling risks complete engine seizure.

Installation Tip

Ensure all mounting brackets and sealing surfaces are clean and free of corrosion before installing the new radiator core. Do not overtighten the mounting bolts, as this can distort the core and cause leaks.

Service Note

Inspect the radiator hoses, thermostat, and water pump for signs of wear or leaks when replacing the radiator core.
