289-6336 Drive Motor Seal Kit — Cat 3024C 216B

This drive motor seal kit is designed to prevent hydraulic fluid leakage and contamination in the drive motor system. It is manufactured from high-quality sealing materials that maintain their integrity under high pressure and temperature, unlike a worn or damaged seal which can allow fluid loss and debris ingress. Operators may notice hydraulic fluid leaks around the drive motor, sluggish movement of the machine, or unusual noises from the drive system when this seal kit fails.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

Visible hydraulic fluid leaks originating from the drive motor housing are the first sign of seal failure. If left unaddressed, the leakage will worsen, potentially leading to low hydraulic pressure and reduced drive performance. Continued operation with leaking seals can cause internal damage to the drive motor due to fluid loss and contamination.

Installation Tip

Carefully clean the sealing surfaces within the drive motor housing and ensure all old seal material is completely removed before installing new seals. Improperly seating or damaging a seal during installation will lead to immediate leakage.

Service Note

When replacing drive motor seals, inspect the drive motor shaft for scoring or wear and check the hydraulic fluid for signs of contamination.
