Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

A failing oil pump may initially manifest as a flickering oil pressure warning light or a noticeable drop in the oil pressure gauge reading. If ignored, the engine may start to produce knocking or ticking sounds due to insufficient lubrication, and the engine temperature can rise rapidly. Continued operation without addressing the issue risks severe internal engine damage, including bearing failure and seized components.

Installation Tip

Ensure the oil pickup tube and screen are thoroughly cleaned and inspected for any blockages or damage before installation. Avoid overtightening the mounting bolts, as this can distort the pump housing and lead to premature failure.

Service Note

When replacing the oil pump, it is highly recommended to also inspect and clean the oil pickup screen and replace the engine oil and filter.
