Failure Symptoms

A primary symptom of a failing fuel filter is a gradual loss of engine power, especially under load. If ignored, the engine may begin to run rough, hesitate during acceleration, or experience intermittent stalling. Eventually, a severely clogged filter can prevent the engine from starting altogether due to insufficient fuel delivery.

Installation Tip

Ensure the new filter is properly seated on its gasket and that the sealing surface on the engine is clean before tightening. Do not overtighten the filter, as this can damage the gasket or the filter housing.
