Failure Symptoms

The most common symptom of a worn clutch disc is a noticeable slippage, where engine RPMs increase without a corresponding increase in vehicle speed, especially under load. If ignored, shifting may become difficult or impossible, and the clutch may start to slip more severely, potentially leading to a loss of drive.

Installation Tip

Ensure the flywheel and pressure plate surfaces are clean and free of grease before installation. Do not allow the clutch disc to hang solely on the input shaft splines during installation.

Service Note

Always replace the clutch pressure plate and release bearing when replacing the clutch disc.
