Failure Symptoms

A failing fuel transfer pump may initially cause intermittent engine performance issues, such as hesitation or slight power loss. If the pump's output diminishes further, the engine may start to sputter or stall, especially under load. In severe cases, the engine may not start at all due to insufficient fuel supply.

Installation Tip

Prime the new pump and fuel lines with clean diesel fuel before starting the engine to ensure immediate fuel delivery and prevent dry running. Avoid overtightening the mounting bolts, which can strip the threads or deform the pump housing.
