Failure Symptoms

Initial signs of failure include a slight delay in bucket curl or a tendency for the bucket to drift downwards under load. If left unaddressed, the hydraulic fluid leak will worsen, leading to a loss of lifting capacity and potentially uncontrolled bucket movement. Continued operation with a failing seal kit can cause scoring on the cylinder rod and damage to internal cylinder components.

Installation Tip

Thoroughly clean the inside of the cylinder barrel and the cylinder rod before installing the new seals to prevent contamination. Ensure all seals are correctly oriented and lubricated with compatible hydraulic fluid prior to installation.

Service Note

When replacing the bucket cylinder seals, inspect the cylinder rod for any scratches or wear that might require polishing or replacement.
