This is a Steering Pump, a critical component of the vehicle's power steering system responsible for generating hydraulic pressure to assist steering. It converts mechanical energy from the engine into hydraulic force, enabling smooth and effortless directional control of the wheels. A failing steering pump may manifest as stiff steering, whining noises from the front of the vehicle, or intermittent loss of power steering assist.

Flush hydraulic lines before fitting new components. Use only manufacturer-specified hydraulic fluid. Check O-rings and backup rings for correct orientation. Bleed air from system after installation.
Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.
The initial symptom of a failing steering pump is often a noticeable increase in steering effort, especially at low speeds or when turning the wheels fully. This may be accompanied by a whining or groaning noise that changes with steering input. If the pump continues to degrade, the power assist can become intermittent or completely fail, making the vehicle very difficult to steer. Continued operation risks loss of directional control.
Ensure the power steering fluid reservoir is completely drained and flushed before installing the new pump to remove any contaminants. Do not operate the new pump without fluid, as this can quickly damage its internal components.
Replace the power steering fluid and filter, and inspect all steering hoses and the steering gear for leaks or damage when replacing the pump.
