Failure Symptoms

Installation Tip

Ensure the oil pickup tube and screen are clean and properly seated in the oil pan before installing the new pump. Do not overtighten the pump mounting bolts, as this can distort the pump housing.

Service Note

When replacing the oil pump, it is highly recommended to also replace the engine oil and oil filter.
