Failure Symptoms

External hydraulic fluid leaks from the boom cylinder rod, or a noticeable decrease in the cylinder's lifting force and speed, are the primary signs of worn seals. If not replaced, the leakage will worsen, potentially leading to insufficient hydraulic pressure for boom operation and increased contamination of the hydraulic system. This can compromise the excavator's ability to perform its intended tasks safely and efficiently.

Installation Tip

Thoroughly clean the inside of the cylinder barrel and all components before installing the new seals to prevent damage from debris. Ensure the seals are lubricated with clean hydraulic fluid and are not twisted or nicked during installation.
