Installation & Application Notes

Never run an engine without a filter — even briefly causes abrasive damage. Pre-fill fuel filters with clean fuel before fitting to reduce prime time. Replace O-rings on filter housings every second service. Record change dates on filter housing.

Failure Symptoms

A clogged cabin air filter will typically result in reduced airflow from the vents and a noticeable decrease in the effectiveness of the heating or air conditioning system. If ignored, it can lead to increased strain on the HVAC blower motor and allow dust and allergens to accumulate in the cabin, impacting operator comfort and potentially causing respiratory irritation.

Installation Tip

Locate the filter housing, usually accessible from outside the cabin, and ensure you are installing the filter in the correct airflow direction as indicated by any arrows on the filter. Do not force the filter if it does not fit easily; check for obstructions.

When replacing the cabin air filter, it is a good time to inspect the HVAC system for any unusual noises or reduced fan speed.
