Never run an engine without a filter — even briefly causes abrasive damage. Pre-fill fuel filters with clean fuel before fitting to reduce prime time. Replace O-rings on filter housings every second service. Record change dates on filter housing.

Failure Symptoms

Installation Tip

Ensure the new filter element is properly lubricated on its O-ring seal before installation to prevent tearing. Do not reuse the old O-ring seal; always install a new one with the filter element.
