Failure Symptoms

The first noticeable symptom of a failing starter motor is a slow or weak cranking sound when attempting to start the engine. If ignored, the starter may eventually fail to engage the flywheel, producing only a single click, or it could overheat and cease functioning entirely. The ultimate consequence is the inability to start the equipment, leading to costly downtime.

Installation Tip

Ensure the battery terminals are clean and tight before connecting the starter motor cables to ensure adequate power supply. Do not engage the starter motor for longer than 10-15 seconds at a time to prevent overheating.
