Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

A failing ignition distributor often presents as intermittent engine sputtering or a noticeable loss of power, especially under load. If the internal components wear further, the engine may begin to misfire consistently, leading to rough idling and increased fuel consumption. In the worst case, the distributor can fail completely, preventing the engine from starting.

Installation Tip

When installing, ensure the engine is at Top Dead Center (TDC) on the compression stroke for cylinder #1 before setting the initial distributor position. Do not force the distributor body if it does not seat easily; re-check alignment.

Service Note

Inspect the spark plug wires and ignition coil for any signs of damage or wear when replacing the distributor.
