FPFL2411210 — Crankshaft Position Sensor 0281002819 961200670034 For Volvo Truck Vm210 Vm260 Vm310

This crankshaft position sensor is vital for the engine's ignition and fuel injection timing, sending precise rotational data of the crankshaft to the engine control module (ECM). It ensures the ECM can accurately synchronize spark and fuel delivery, unlike a faulty sensor that provides erratic or no signal. Operators may experience engine misfires, difficulty starting, or the engine shutting down unexpectedly when this sensor fails.

Installation & Application Notes

Disconnect main battery before working on electrical components. Use dielectric grease on all connector pins. Check ground connections — most electrical faults trace to poor grounds. Test with multimeter before installing new parts.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

A failing crankshaft position sensor can initially cause intermittent engine stalling or rough idling. As the failure progresses, the engine may become difficult to start or refuse to start altogether, often accompanied by a check engine light. If the sensor completely fails, the engine will not run as the ECM will not receive critical timing information.

Installation Tip

Ensure the sensor tip is clean and free from metal shavings before installation to guarantee accurate readings. Do not allow the sensor to hang by its wire; support it properly during installation.

Service Note

Inspect the flywheel or crankshaft reluctor ring for damage or debris that could interfere with the sensor's operation.
