288-0935 Double Flange Track Roller — Cat D6R 963C

This double flange track roller is a fundamental part of the undercarriage system, supporting the weight of the machine and guiding the track. Manufactured to robust standards, it provides excellent load-bearing capacity and wear resistance, outperforming rollers that have experienced significant wear. Operators may notice increased vibration, uneven track wear, or a rougher ride when this roller begins to fail.

Failure Symptoms

A failing track roller may initially cause increased noise and vibration from the undercarriage, along with visible wear on the track links. If ignored, bearing failure can lead to the roller seizing, potentially damaging the track or causing it to derail. Continued operation with worn rollers increases the risk of premature track wear and undercarriage damage.

Installation Tip

Clean the mounting bracket and ensure the new roller's shaft is properly lubricated before installation. Avoid applying excessive force when tightening mounting bolts to prevent damage to the roller seals.

Service Note

Inspect all other track rollers, the idlers, and the track chain for wear and damage when replacing a roller.
