Failure Symptoms

Reduced hydraulic system responsiveness and slower actuator speeds are the first signs of a clogged filter. If ignored, the system may overheat, and internal pump wear will accelerate. Eventually, critical hydraulic components can be damaged by abrasive contaminants.

Installation Tip

Ensure the filter housing is clean before installing the new element to prevent dirt ingress. Do not overtighten the filter housing, as this can damage the seal or housing threads.

Service Note

Inspect the hydraulic fluid for contamination and consider changing the fluid if it appears degraded or dirty when replacing the filter.
