1103269 Cylinder Gp- Bulldozer Lift — Cat D6N

This bulldozer lift cylinder assembly is a vital component of the machine's hydraulic system, providing the force needed to raise and lower the bulldozer blade. Manufactured to meet rigorous OEM specifications, it offers superior sealing and rod integrity over worn or damaged cylinders. Operators may experience a slow-dropping blade, inability to hold blade position, or hydraulic fluid leaks around the cylinder rod when this component fails.

Failure Symptoms

A failing lift cylinder may initially present as a blade that drifts down slowly when not actively being held. If ignored, the cylinder may lose its ability to hold the blade at the desired height, leading to uncontrolled blade movement and potential damage to the blade or surrounding structures. In severe cases, a complete loss of hydraulic pressure to the cylinder could result in the blade dropping unexpectedly.

Installation Tip

Thoroughly clean the cylinder mounting points and rod end before installation to prevent contamination. Ensure the hydraulic lines are properly connected and free of kinks to avoid restricting fluid flow.

Service Note

Inspect the hydraulic control valve and related hoses for wear or leaks, and consider flushing the hydraulic system if contamination is suspected.
