CATFuel System

4W7015 Nozzle As — Cat 931B 953

This is a nozzle assembly, a precision-engineered component of the fuel injection system that atomizes and directs fuel into the combustion chamber. It is designed for optimal spray pattern and fuel metering, unlike a clogged or worn nozzle that produces poor atomization or leaks. Operators may observe black smoke, rough idling, reduced power, or increased fuel consumption if this assembly is faulty.

Installation & Application Notes

Use clean, filtered fuel — fuel injection components have micron-level tolerances. Prime fuel system before cranking to avoid dry-start damage. Replace fuel filter whenever servicing injection components. Calibrate injectors after replacement if equipment has ECU.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

A malfunctioning nozzle assembly can initially lead to uneven engine operation and increased exhaust smoke. If ignored, poor fuel atomization will result in incomplete combustion, leading to power loss and potential engine overheating. Continued use risks cylinder washdown from unburnt fuel, causing accelerated wear on piston rings and cylinder liners.

Installation Tip

Ensure the injection pump timing is correctly set before installing new nozzles to prevent engine damage. Do not allow dirt or debris to enter the fuel lines or injector ports during installation.

Service Note

Inspect the fuel lines and injector return lines for leaks and replace the fuel filter when installing a new nozzle assembly.
