127-8222 Fuel Injector — Cat 3116 3114

This is a fuel injector that precisely sprays a metered amount of diesel fuel into the engine cylinder at high pressure for combustion. It is engineered to meet strict OEM performance and durability standards, ensuring consistent fuel atomization and flow rates superior to a worn injector. Operators may notice rough idling, a significant loss of engine power, increased exhaust emissions, and audible knocking sounds when an injector fails.

Installation & Application Notes

Use clean, filtered fuel — fuel injection components have micron-level tolerances. Prime fuel system before cranking to avoid dry-start damage. Replace fuel filter whenever servicing injection components. Calibrate injectors after replacement if equipment has ECU.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

Early signs of a failing fuel injector include noticeable engine misfires, rough idling, and a decrease in overall engine power. If the problem persists, the engine may start to consume more fuel, produce excessive exhaust smoke, and exhibit knocking noises. Ignoring a faulty injector can lead to uneven cylinder wear and potential damage to pistons or valves.

Installation Tip

Thoroughly clean the injector bore in the cylinder head before installing the new injector, and always use new sealing washers. Avoid rotating the injector while tightening the hold-down clamp, as this can damage the seating surface.

Service Note

It is highly recommended to replace all fuel injectors simultaneously and replace the fuel filters to ensure balanced performance and prevent contamination.
