CATFuel System

1052002 Nozzle — Cat 312 416B

This is a fuel injection nozzle, a critical component of the fuel system that precisely atomizes and directs fuel into the engine's combustion chamber. Manufactured to exacting standards, it ensures a consistent spray pattern and optimal fuel delivery, unlike a worn nozzle which may exhibit poor atomization or leakage. Operators may observe a loss of engine power, rough idling, or increased exhaust smoke if this nozzle is failing.

Installation & Application Notes

Use clean, filtered fuel — fuel injection components have micron-level tolerances. Prime fuel system before cranking to avoid dry-start damage. Replace fuel filter whenever servicing injection components. Calibrate injectors after replacement if equipment has ECU.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

A failing nozzle may initially cause uneven engine operation, such as rough idling or a slight power loss. If not addressed, the poor fuel atomization will lead to incomplete combustion, resulting in increased fuel consumption and visible exhaust smoke. Continued operation with faulty nozzles can lead to cylinder washing and potential damage to pistons and cylinder walls.

Installation Tip

Ensure the sealing surface in the cylinder head is clean and free of carbon deposits before installing the new nozzle. Do not reuse the old sealing washer, as it may not provide an adequate seal.

Service Note

When replacing fuel injection nozzles, it is recommended to inspect the fuel injection pump and fuel lines for any signs of damage or wear.
