Installation & Application Notes

Never run an engine without a filter — even briefly causes abrasive damage. Pre-fill fuel filters with clean fuel before fitting to reduce prime time. Replace O-rings on filter housings every second service. Record change dates on filter housing.

Failure Symptoms

A clogged cabin air filter will initially reduce the volume of air flowing through the HVAC system, making it less effective. This can lead to increased dust levels inside the cabin and a musty odor. If left unaddressed, it can strain the HVAC fan motor and contribute to mold growth within the system.

Installation Tip

Locate the cabin filter access panel, which is often behind the glove box or under the dashboard, and ensure it is clean before installing the new filter. Do not operate the HVAC system without the filter in place, as this can allow debris into the system.
