Installation & Application Notes

Never run an engine without a filter — even briefly causes abrasive damage. Pre-fill fuel filters with clean fuel before fitting to reduce prime time. Replace O-rings on filter housings every second service. Record change dates on filter housing.

Failure Symptoms

A dirty air filter will initially cause a gradual reduction in engine power and potentially increase fuel consumption. Neglecting to replace a severely clogged air filter can lead to significant engine damage and reduced operational efficiency.

Installation Tip

Before installing the new filter, carefully clean the inside of the air cleaner housing to remove any accumulated dust or debris. Ensure the filter is seated correctly and the seal is properly engaged to prevent air bypass.

Inspect the air intake piping and hoses for cracks or leaks, and check the turbocharger for any signs of oil contamination during air filter replacement.
