Installation & Application Notes

Never run an engine without a filter — even briefly causes abrasive damage. Pre-fill fuel filters with clean fuel before fitting to reduce prime time. Replace O-rings on filter housings every second service. Record change dates on filter housing.

Failure Symptoms

The first symptom of a failing oil filter may be a slight increase in oil pressure warning light illumination or a darker appearance of the engine oil. If left unaddressed, the engine's internal components will experience accelerated wear due to abrasive particles in the oil. This can ultimately lead to premature engine failure.

Installation Tip

Always lubricate the rubber gasket on the new filter with clean engine oil before installation. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and free of debris to achieve a proper seal.
