Failure Symptoms

A failing oil pressure switch may initially cause intermittent illumination of the oil pressure warning light. If the switch fails completely, the warning light will remain off even during low oil pressure events, potentially masking a critical lubrication problem. Ignoring these symptoms can lead to severe engine damage due to lack of lubrication.

Installation Tip

Ensure the engine oil is drained or the machine is properly secured to prevent oil spillage during removal and installation. Do not use pipe thread sealant on the switch threads, as it can interfere with electrical contact.
