508-6291 Hydraulic Oil Cooler — Cat 320C

This is a CAT Hydraulic Oil Cooler designed to regulate the temperature of the hydraulic fluid within the machine's hydraulic system. It ensures optimal operating temperatures by dissipating heat, preventing thermal degradation of hydraulic components and fluid. A failing cooler may lead to overheating, sluggish hydraulic response, and increased wear on pumps and cylinders.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

Overheating of the hydraulic system is the first sign, often accompanied by a noticeable decrease in hydraulic system performance. If left unaddressed, prolonged operation at high temperatures will accelerate wear on hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders.

Installation Tip

Ensure all hydraulic lines are thoroughly flushed to remove any debris or contaminants before connecting them to the new cooler. Avoid overtightening the mounting bolts, which can distort the cooler core.

Service Note

Inspect hydraulic fluid for signs of contamination or degradation and consider replacing the hydraulic filter at the same time.
