443-1364 Shaft Seal — Cat 3054 420F2

This shaft seal is engineered to prevent lubricant from escaping and contaminants from entering rotating shafts within the engine or drivetrain. Constructed from durable, high-performance elastomer, it provides a resilient barrier that outlasts worn or cracked seals. Operators may observe oil leaks around the shaft, a low oil level, or hear increased noise from the component if this seal is compromised.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The first sign of a failing shaft seal is typically a visible oil leak originating from the shaft where the seal is located. If left unaddressed, the oil level will continue to drop, potentially leading to insufficient lubrication and increased wear on the shaft and bearing. Prolonged operation with a leaking seal can result in component damage and costly repairs.

Installation Tip

Carefully inspect the shaft for any burrs or damage that could compromise the new seal's integrity before installation. Use a proper seal driver or a clean, flat tool to press the seal in squarely, avoiding cocking it in the bore.

Service Note

Inspect the shaft for wear or scoring and check the bearing for play when replacing a shaft seal.
