Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The first sign of a failing glow plug is increased difficulty in starting the engine, particularly in colder temperatures. If ignored, the engine may fail to start altogether, or run very rough and stall shortly after ignition. Continued operation with faulty glow plugs can lead to increased wear on the starting system and potential damage to engine components.

Installation Tip

Ensure the glow plug bore is clean and free of carbon deposits before installation to guarantee a proper seal. Overtightening can strip the threads in the cylinder head, so use a torque wrench if specifications are available.

Service Note

Inspect the glow plug harness and wiring for any signs of damage or corrosion when replacing a glow plug.
