This is a 12V Glow Plug, an electrical heating device used in diesel engines to aid starting in cold conditions. It heats the combustion chamber to facilitate ignition of the fuel-air mixture. Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

Difficulty starting the engine, particularly in cold weather, is the primary symptom of failing glow plugs. The engine may crank for longer than usual or fail to start altogether. If the engine does start, it may run rough and produce excessive white smoke until it warms up, indicating incomplete combustion.

Installation Tip

Ensure the glow plug threads are clean and lightly lubricated before installation to prevent seizing. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the threads in the cylinder head.

Service Note

Inspect the glow plug harness and control module for proper operation when replacing glow plugs.
