Failure Symptoms

The most common symptom of failing hydraulic cylinder seals is visible hydraulic fluid leakage around the cylinder rod or barrel. This can progress to slow or jerky operation of the cylinder due to loss of pressure, and eventually, the cylinder may fail to extend or retract fully. Continued operation with leaking seals can lead to system contamination and damage to other hydraulic components.

Installation Tip
