364-2829-330-1736 Crankshaft — Cat 3054C M313D

This crankshaft is the central rotating component of the engine, converting linear piston motion into rotational force to power the equipment. Precision-machined to meet stringent OEM standards, it offers superior strength and balance compared to a worn or damaged crankshaft that may have developed cracks or runout. Operators may experience significant engine vibration, loss of power, or internal engine noise if this critical component is compromised.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

A failing crankshaft may first present as excessive engine vibration or unusual knocking sounds from the engine block. If ignored, this can lead to catastrophic internal engine damage, including broken connecting rods or piston damage. The ultimate consequence is a complete and irreparable engine failure.

Installation Tip

Ensure all bearing surfaces on the crankshaft and in the engine block are perfectly clean and lubricated with assembly lube. Improper installation can lead to immediate bearing failure and crankshaft damage.

Service Note

All engine bearings (main, rod, and thrust) must be replaced when installing a new crankshaft.
