357-7354 24V Starter Motor — Cat C11 C15

This 24V starter motor is responsible for engaging the engine's flywheel to initiate the cranking process, starting the engine's combustion cycle. It is built to meet rigorous OEM quality and performance specifications, providing reliable and powerful engagement unlike a worn starter that struggles to turn the engine over. Operators may experience slow or no engine cranking, clicking sounds when the key is turned, or a complete failure to start the equipment when this component is faulty.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The most common symptom is a slow or hesitant engine crank, often accompanied by a clicking sound from the starter solenoid. If left unaddressed, the starter may fail to engage the flywheel entirely, leaving the equipment inoperable. Continued attempts to start with a failing motor can drain the batteries and potentially damage the flywheel ring gear.

Installation Tip

Ensure the battery terminals are clean and connections are tight before installing the starter motor. Avoid prolonged cranking, as this can overheat and damage the starter's windings.

Service Note

Inspect the battery condition, cables, and connections, as well as the engine's electrical system for any faults.
