352-0200 Water Pump — Cat 3412 C27

This is a CAT Water Pump, a vital component of the engine's cooling system responsible for circulating coolant throughout the engine block and radiator. It ensures that the engine operates within its optimal temperature range by continuously moving coolant, preventing overheating. A failing water pump may manifest as coolant leaks, engine overheating, or a whining noise from the front of the engine.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

Visible coolant leaks from the pump housing or weep hole are the first signs of failure, often accompanied by a rising temperature gauge. If the pump fails completely, coolant circulation will cease, leading to rapid engine overheating and potential severe internal damage. Continued operation under these conditions risks catastrophic engine failure.

Installation Tip

Ensure the mounting surface on the engine block is perfectly clean and free of old gasket material before installing the new pump. Do not reuse the old gasket or seal.

Service Note

Inspect the drive belt tensioner and pulley, and replace the engine coolant and thermostat if necessary.
