2w2606 Fuel Pump — Cat 3508 3512

This is a fuel pump, responsible for drawing diesel fuel from the tank and delivering it under pressure to the engine's fuel injection system. It is engineered to meet stringent OEM quality standards, providing consistent fuel flow and pressure, unlike a worn pump that may deliver insufficient fuel or fluctuate in pressure. Operators might experience engine misfires, a noticeable loss of power, or difficulty maintaining speed if the fuel pump is not functioning correctly.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

A failing fuel pump may initially cause intermittent engine sputtering or a slight loss of power during acceleration. As the problem worsens, the engine may experience more frequent misfires, struggle to reach full throttle, or stall under load. In advanced stages, the pump may fail to deliver sufficient fuel pressure, preventing the engine from running altogether.

Installation Tip

Ensure all fuel lines are properly connected and free of kinks before installing the new fuel pump to prevent fuel leaks or restrictions. Do not reuse old fuel line seals or clamps, as they may not provide an adequate seal.

Service Note

Replace the fuel filter and inspect the fuel lines for any signs of contamination or damage when installing a new fuel pump.
