2w-5540 Radiator — Cat 3306 3406

This radiator is a critical component of the engine's cooling system, responsible for dissipating heat generated during combustion. It is manufactured to meet stringent OEM standards, ensuring superior heat transfer and durability compared to a worn or damaged unit. Operators may notice a significant increase in engine temperature, steam from the engine bay, or a coolant leak when the radiator fails.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The first sign of radiator failure is often a noticeable drop in coolant level or visible coolant leaks. If ignored, the engine temperature will begin to rise, potentially leading to overheating and reduced engine performance. Continued operation without addressing the issue can cause severe internal engine damage.

Installation Tip

Ensure the engine is completely cool before draining the coolant and removing the old radiator to prevent burns. Do not overtighten the mounting bolts, as this can distort the radiator core or damage the mounting brackets.

Service Note

Inspect and replace coolant hoses, the radiator cap, and thermostat if they show signs of wear or age.
