Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

Initial signs of piston failure may include a persistent knocking sound from the engine and a visible blue haze in the exhaust. If ignored, the engine will progressively lose power and begin to consume excessive amounts of oil, potentially leading to lubrication issues and bearing damage.

Installation Tip

Ensure the cylinder bore is thoroughly cleaned and inspected for any scoring before installing the new piston. Avoid forcing the piston into the cylinder, as this can damage the piston skirt or the cylinder wall.

Service Note

Inspect cylinder liners and connecting rod bearings for wear when replacing pistons.
