268-8792 Blower Motor — Cat D10T

This is a CAT Blower Motor, responsible for circulating air within the operator cab for heating and air conditioning systems. It is engineered for reliable performance and durability in demanding environments, ensuring consistent airflow, unlike a failing motor that produces little to no air. Operators will experience a lack of airflow from the vents, or reduced effectiveness of the HVAC system, if the blower motor is not functioning correctly.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The primary symptom of a failing blower motor is a complete absence of airflow from the cab vents, or intermittent operation. If left unaddressed, the operator will experience discomfort due to the inability to regulate cab temperature, potentially affecting productivity and safety. Prolonged operation without airflow can also lead to moisture buildup and fogging inside the cab.

Installation Tip

Ensure the battery is disconnected before beginning work to prevent accidental electrical shorts. When installing, make sure the motor is securely mounted and the wiring harness is properly connected to avoid vibration-related failures.

Service Note

It is advisable to check and clean or replace the cabin air filter when replacing the blower motor.
