266-7891 Hydraulic Cylinder Seal Kit — Cat 3066 320D

This is a hydraulic cylinder seal kit, containing all necessary seals and O-rings to rebuild a hydraulic cylinder and prevent internal leakage. Manufactured to precise tolerances using durable materials, it ensures a tight seal and smooth operation, unlike a worn kit that allows fluid bypass and reduced cylinder performance. Operators may notice slow or jerky cylinder movement, external fluid leaks from the cylinder rod, or a loss of hydraulic system pressure when seals fail.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The first sign of failing seals is often a visible hydraulic fluid leak around the cylinder rod or piston. This can progress to sluggish or erratic cylinder operation, where the cylinder moves slowly, jerks, or fails to hold its position under load. If left unaddressed, significant fluid loss can occur, leading to a loss of hydraulic system pressure and potential damage to the pump and other components.

Installation Tip

Thoroughly clean the cylinder bore and rod before installing new seals to prevent damage from debris. Ensure all seals are correctly oriented and seated properly before reassembling the cylinder.

Service Note

Inspect the cylinder rod for scoring or damage and the cylinder bore for wear when replacing the seal kit.
