Failure Symptoms

Early indications of a failing travel gearbox may include sluggish or jerky movement of the machine, or unusual grinding noises during travel. If ignored, the gearbox may begin to slip, making it difficult to maintain speed or control direction, and eventually cease to function. A complete failure of the travel gearbox will render the machine immobile.
