237-0957 Sensor — Cat D10T 3406

This sensor is an essential engine component that monitors critical operating parameters, providing real-time data to the engine control unit (ECU) for optimal performance and diagnostics. Manufactured to strict OEM specifications, it offers accurate readings superior to a worn or failing sensor that may provide erratic or incorrect data. Operators may notice engine performance issues, warning lights on the dashboard, or diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) when this sensor begins to fail.

Installation & Application Notes

Inspect mating surfaces for wear before fitting. Use torque specs from service manual. Replace gaskets and seals as a set — reusing compressed gaskets causes oil leaks. Clean all oil passages with compressed air.

Always consult the OEM service manual for model-specific torque values and procedures. WhatsApp our technical team if you need fitment guidance.

Failure Symptoms

The first indication of a faulty sensor might be an illuminated check engine light or a slight fluctuation in engine RPM. If ignored, the engine may experience rough idling, reduced power, or increased fuel consumption. The worst consequence is potential engine damage due to incorrect fuel/air mixture or operating outside safe parameters.

Installation Tip

Always disconnect the battery before working on any electrical components, including sensors, to prevent short circuits. Ensure the sensor threads are clean and apply a small amount of anti-seize compound if recommended by the manufacturer, but avoid over-tightening.

Service Note

When replacing an engine sensor, it is advisable to inspect the associated wiring harness and connectors for any signs of damage or corrosion.
