This hydraulic cylinder seal kit provides all necessary seals and O-rings to rebuild a CAT hydraulic cylinder, ensuring proper containment of hydraulic fluid under pressure. Made from high-performance NBR rubber and durable acetal, these seals meet CAT's demanding specifications for longevity and resistance to wear and contamination. Failure Symptoms

The initial symptom of failing hydraulic cylinder seals is often visible external leakage of hydraulic fluid. This can progress to sluggish or erratic cylinder movement, such as slow retraction or extension, and a noticeable loss of lifting or clamping force. Continued operation with compromised seals risks internal cylinder damage, contamination of the hydraulic system, and potential component failure.

Installation Tip

Thoroughly clean the inside of the cylinder bore and inspect the piston rod for any nicks or scoring before installing the new seals. Ensure all seals are properly lubricated with compatible hydraulic fluid before insertion to prevent damage.
